A simple comic:
I know this comic probably meant to refer to things like personal habits or perhaps tendencies shared by a particular culture. But the same thoughts and logic can be applied to the issue of governance – what is the most popular form of government in today’s world? How did it came to be and when did it become so widespread? Lastly, looking at how things are, is this particular form of governance still the most efficient way to run nations, or are we simply doing it because it’s how we’ve always done it?
While people in general are ready to introspect upon themselves to look for personal flaws, or even look at their own culture critically, the concept of “government” is often treated as a sacred cow and relegated to a mental blind spot for things one simply does not expect to change or dare to even criticize.
