A pretty poignant parable on what’s happening on a societal level in the United States nowadays:
A black man with a knife was shot by the police last night in Philadelphia. Almost predictably, a riot broke out in the city, with much ensuing looting, destruction of property as well as further violence between the police and protestors. More details are available in archived form here.
Yet again, the jar has been shaken. Taking a step back, one can see that these types of events are becoming increasingly more common in the US, if not the rest of the world. Just as the image above inquires, we must take a long and hard look at who’s shaking our jar, and why. A sickness that’s undiagnosed is one that will never be cured.
