A 4chan anon analyzes why some women appear to specifically prefer bad men:
You heard the saying about slut-shaming: “A key that opens many locks is a great key, but a lock that can be opened by many keys is a shitty lock”
That means men who have lots of casual sex are great keys. They are high-status desirable men. As such, most women want to marry one of those men. And how do you find a man who has lots of casual sex? You hookup with him. For a lot of women their main dating strategy is to find a player who has lots of casual sex, hookup with him, and then somehow get him to commit to her so other women will be jealous (“OMG, you got Thundercock to marry you!? Wow, you must be really special because he only used me for sex”)
See, women want a man that other women couldn’t have. Any woman can go out on Saturday night and get a man who will ask her out on a date instead of trying to fuck her. Any woman can find a nice guy who wants commitment and loyalty. But how many women can get commitment from the player who usually just pumps and dumps women? Getting a guy like THAT to marry you is a real accomplishment!
That’s all women want: To feel like they got a man no other woman could get. So they go after the type of men who pump-and-dump because if he pumps and dumps all those other women, but commits to her, it must mean she’s really special. Of course when it turns out she’s not special and she’s just another hookup she cries about men being pigs who use her for sex because she can’t take responsibility for her choices and won’t admit that she rejected any men who actually want a relationship.
It’s the same reason women date guys who eventually cheat on them, despite obvious red flags. Any woman can find a nice guy who will always remain faithful. But if a woman wants to feel special, she needs the type of man who isn’t inherently faithful, the type of man who would cheat on other women… but he won’t cheat on me because I’m special!
And of course they get burned and blame men.
Very interesting analysis. It makes a lot of seemingly illogical acts that some women engage in suddenly logical!
