A conversation on 4chan’s politics board a few years ago yielded an interesting take.  A Jewish person proudly proclaimed the following:

Let’s see, a superior race of people have the intellect to rise to the top and control the world, and all the butthurt non-jews spend their time wining about their inferiority. There is a reason why most noble prizes go to people of jewish descent. They deserve to be at the top.

It led to some back and forth bickering, including one anon insisting that Jewish success is heavily rooted in nepotism, and the original Jewish anon insisting otherwise:

Corruption and Nepotism != Intelligence, sneaky rat man.

…

But actually being intelligent is intelligence. Look around you, the smartest people in the world are jewish.

After much bantering from both sides, a Croatian anon came up with the following analysis:

Ah yes, the super-IQ Jews have constructed the greatest civilizations known to man. We are fortunate just to be in their presence.

Now, to be fair, both Europeans and East Asians have very high IQ’s as well, and they’ve built tremendous civilizations.

The East Asians have built monstrous civilizations characterized by order and tradition. These civilizations have endured for centuries–better yet, millennia–and at one point stretched all the way from Japan to Central Europe. Those civilizations produced beautiful art, yielded massive architectural feats (see, e.g., the Great Wall), and laid the groundwork for the connection between the East and the West.

To be sure, the Europeans have likewise produced magnificent civilizations that even today, at the moment of our weakness, are still envied by most of the modern world. Worldwide, billions of people clamor at the chance to be brought within the gates of Western civilization. European civilizations produced art (see, e.g., the Renaissance), yielded massive technological advances, explored and mapped the globe, and even pioneered conceptions like individual liberty.

But these European and East Asian civilizations are humbled in the presence of the civilizations created by Jews. Oh wait. No they don’t. The Jews have never produced any civilization even resembling that of European or East Asian civilizations. The Jews never even produced a civilization resembling the more primitive human civilizations, like those found in Africa. The Jews, in fact, have never produced any civilization whatsoever. Their entire miserable existence has consisted of relying on the altruism of other great civilizations to bring them within their borders, only to see their wealth plundered and populous subverted, until the nationfolk eventually rise up and expel them like the parasites they are, leaving them to wander about the earth in search of their next host nation whose empathy can be preyed upon and exploited.

It’s a very interesting observation.  Jews indeed have had a very different history than most of the other cultures on this planet, and have existed mostly as a hanger-on to other civilizations, often influencing them from within, rather than having their own civilizations.  I wonder if this have to do with how they are wired mentally, or if it’s purely a cultural phenomenon.
