Khamanei on the Holocaust

The leader of Iran, Ali Khamanei’s various X posts on the subject of the Holocaust:

Westerners claim to uphold the free flow of information. Are you able to reject the claims about events in Nazi Germany concerning Jews on Western social media platforms?

Holocaust is an event whose reality is uncertain and if it has happened, it’s uncertain how it has happened.

Does anybody dare talk about Holocaust in Europe?

…on “freedom of expression” excuses: Today in many western countries, nobody dares question the Holocaust whose nature in questionable.

The next question to ask is: why is it a crime to raise doubts about the Holocaust? Why should anyone who writes about such doubts be imprisoned while insulting the Prophet (pbuh) is allowed?

In his book, Roger Garaudy, the French philosopher, expressed doubts about the number of Holocaust victims. The French gov’t not only banned his book, but also brought Garaudy to trial. These are the claimants of advocating Freedom of Speech.

Interesting to view the Holocaust, which in the west is the social and academic equivalent of a sacred cow, from the perspective of someone from a different culture in a different part of the world.

Most of Asia don’t treat the Holocaust as the same unquestionable, horrid tragedy that children of all races must be educated and indoctrinated on either. It’s only the west. I wonder what led to this difference.
