A woman from Cheshire, England came across what appeared to be a baby hedgehog on the sidewalk, and rescued it. The animal was placed in a box lined with newspaper, and with a generous bowl of food provided. When the woman noticed that the animal have failed to move over the course of an entire night, she grew worried and took it to the local nature reserve and wild life hospital.

To the chagrin of the woman, the hospital manager identified the mystery creature as not a baby hedgehog, but simply a bobble puff from the top of someone’s hat. The woman walked out very sheepishly after that. At least her heart was in the right place.
