A Japanese tourist bought an ice cream cone at a scenic location and prepared to take a selfie with it. To their surprise they managed to snap a picture of a seagull at the exact moment when it stole their ice cream:
An utterly unrepentant expression. The University of Exeter have done a study on this phenomenon. Seagulls were presented with two identical food items – one of which they had seen a human holding. The gulls pecked more often at the handled food, showing a preference for it.
The tourist traded an ice cream cone for a priceless picture!
