Earlier this month in California, when someone spotted an electric car being charged by a gas powered generator:
Apparently, a few days prior to the above incident, the state government of California made a recommendation for electric car owners to not charge their vehicles as a whole in light of the electricity crisis in the state, which may be what prompted the vehicle owner to charge their car with a gas generator:
The humor of the situation aside, it simply seems the infrastructure to accommodate electric cars are not completely in place in the state. Perhaps a few more years of preparation could have avoided a lot of hassle for everyone.
