An Ukrainian woman, Victoria Ilkiv, adopted an orange tabby cat 3 years ago. Because the area where she lived would regularly get bombarded by the Russians, she would bring the cat with her along with her family whenever they headed to the bomb shelter. A few years down the road, the cat learned the route to the shelter, and would even lead the way there when the air raid siren comes on, making sure to turn its head along the way to make sure its owners are following properly:
The cat was never trained to do any of this. It even learned to tell when the alarm is over based on the reaction of the people around it and the fact that the siren stopped, and would head back home on its own too.
