A person from China had their household’s parking spot taken by a stranger. Before they could get properly angry over the situation, they saw a note taped to the back of the car in their space.
The note explained that the owner of the car had a wedding in their household, and that they therefore had to borrow that parking space for the day. More importantly, some other items were hidden behind the note, including a red envelope with 200 RMB (roughly $28 USD) and two packs of cigarettes. Apparently, these were meant to be a token of apology/compensation for taking the parking space unannounced:

The owner of the parking space was no longer upset upon seeing all these. A stolen parking spot became just an amusing picture that was taken and circulated online. I don’t think their nation is perfect by any means, but sadly, it generally feels like they have a higher trust society compared to what we have going here in the US.
