A woman from Guangdong, China saw a golden retriever sitting behind a vegetable stand at the local open air market. When she asked around, it seems this dog is frequently seen manning that particular stand:
To the woman’s surprise, though, she noticed that when she tried to greet the dog on several occasions, the dog would return a smile back to her. A fake looking, professional smile:
Just like the sort of tired smile one would often see from service industry workers. In the woman’s own words, the dog’s smile was about “as happy as the bitter melons in front of him”.
I suppose if the dog could speak, he’d say that no one would be happy stuck at work.
