Shoplifting Woes

A young person working at a retail store confidently boasts on social media that “One thing about me is if I see a customer shoplifting, I pretend I didn’t”, but bemoans the consequences of such behavior a year down the road:

Strange, though, that they opted to blame capitalism over the shop’s products being locked up.  Perhaps they haven’t quite yet connected the store’s response to the shoplifters’ repeated theft.

Something similar is happening to a local Wal-Mart near where I live, and it’s unfortunate to witness.
