Chiikawa is a recent Japanese slice of life anime/manga featuring cute, blobby animals engaged in various adventures, known for its rather distinct art style.

Some of the animals featured include a bunny, a cat and a hamster/rodent of sorts.

A young lady in China is very fond of this show, and begged her artist grandfather to draw the characters for her. She showed him pictures of the characters similar to what’s demonstrated above, and asked grandpa to draw the cartoon animals for her. The old man seemed extremely confused by the request and the art shown to him, but confirmed with the granddaughter, “So I should just randomly draw some bamboo or something, and add the characters in?”
Ending the conversation with a very confused, “I’ll have to think about this”, the old man walked away to work on the girl’s request.
The old man finished with the request, and the finished work was hilarious:

The animals were drawn in a realistic style, and for some reason banana leaves were drawn as the background. The drawing was titled “Harmony”, along with the finished date, artist’s name and even a seal stamp.
It’s impressive he was able to make out the animal species of the blobby little cartoon critters, most likely he did spend a lot of time figuring out his grandchild’s request, and the finished work is one of a kind!
