Shiba Inu’s Head Shake

A Japanese man captures scenes of his Shiba Inu dog shaking its head using slow motion photography.  Some of them appear very unusual, to say the least:

In the early parts of the head shake, one can see the dog’s face skin flapping in strange directions, but it’s not too weird overall.  But then things progress to stranger territories:

One eye is now pointing in a different direction than the other.  The chubby face skin is clearly being flung about the head.

The climax.  Both eyes pointing in opposite directions in a classic “derp” face.  Followed by:

The dog is about done with its head shake.  A strangely peaceful expression now takes place on its face.

Very interesting to have seen these.  I’ve seen dogs shake their heads many times in my life, but never knew the strange expressions they’d make while doing so.  For myself and most people, it’s just too fast to properly observe.
